Abstract

The importance of international education is increasingly prominent, but students still face many difficulties in the process of applying for and receiving international education. The potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a solution has drawn attention. This article analyzes the advantages and challenges brought about by the application of AI in international education. This article analyzes and concludes that AI technology helps make the application process clearer and simpler, provides real-time language assistance to international students, meets personalized learning needs, and improves academic efficiency. However, unfamiliar environments, cultural differences, academic pressure and other circumstances may lead international students to regard seeking help from AI tools as the only solution to problems, thus developing an excessive dependence. Misinformation generated by AI can also lead to the spread of incorrect knowledge. Based on this, this article puts forward suggestions that students should maintain critical thinking and actively integrate into new environments, schools should enhance humanistic care for international students, and policymakers or researchers should strengthen the norms for the use of AI tools in international education.
