- Abstract
This research explores how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs) affect criminal conduct in people with Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) traits. Specifically, this study examines how these two interventions affect psychological variables such as impulsivity, aggression, emotional regulation, cognitive distortions, and self-awareness based on current psychological and criminological re-search. This study uses a thematic literature review to synthesize research findings. CBT shows the best results in changing cognitive distortions and decreasing impulsive actions, yet MBIs help people control their emotions and develop self-awareness, which leads to reduced aggression and better behavioral control. The research demonstrates that these two therapeutic methods provide distinct advantages that should be used together in rehabilitation programs. The research suggests future directions that include both long-term assessments and customized intervention approaches. The research adds to the creation of evidence-based psychological methods for criminal rehabilitation.
