Abstract

Mobley (2011) declared three turnover intention indicators: thoughts of quitting, desire to go (choice to finish), and desire to find another job. This theory said work environment and job satisfaction can also affect turnover intention. Employee turnover at Rampal Celaket Public Primary Healthcare exceeded expectations in 2019 and 2020. This study examined the relationship between the work environment, job satisfaction, and the intention to leave the organization in the healthcare field. It was a cross-sectional study and used questionnaires for the health workers. A referent multivariate analysis was performed on all 35 respondents. Bivariate analysis showed no correlation between work environment and employee turnover intention, while job satisfaction had a significant negative correlation (ꞵ -0.3, p 0.001). In multivariate analysis, employee turnover intention was negatively correlated with salary (ꞵ -0.407, p 0.003) and career path (ꞵ -0.384, p 0.005). Higher job satisfaction reduces health workers’ turnover intentions at Rampal Celaket Public Primary Healthcare. Salary is the job satisfaction sub-variable that most predict workers’ turnover intentions. Thus, higher pay and career paths reduce health workers’ turnover intentions. Gender is most associated with turnover intention among respondents.
