Abstract

In the context of global industrial chain restructuring and deepening dual circulation strategy, China’s economic development has transitioned from a phase characterized by rapid growth to one focused on high-quality advancement. The airport economy is an important part of the regional economic growth pole as well as the high-quality economic development. The growth of the airport economic zone and the integrated development of metropolitan area promote each other. Based on this background, the economic models of gravity, breaking point, and coordination degree were established. Collecting the relevant data of Xi’an city circle cities from 2018 to 2022, combining with the knowledge of economics and considering the special characteristics of the airport economy, the spatial correlation relationship between Xi’an airport economic zone and its city circle and the synergistic development were quantitatively analyzed. The conclusion shows that the regional development of Xi’an airport economic zone and its urban circle is unbalanced and the industrial complementarity is insufficient. Although the degree of synergy shows an upward trend, it can further play the role of the core growth of regional economy.
