Abstract

As one of the most dynamic, open, and innovative regions in China’s economic landscape, the Yangtze River Delta is actively advancing the establishment of a world-class artificial intelligence industrial cluster. This study systematically analyzes the current development status and core challenges facing the artificial intelligence industry across major cities within the Yangtze River Delta region. It integrates differentiated developmental experiences from key cities. The research proposes countermeasures and recommendations that include strengthening regional collaboration, constructing a differentiated industrial ecosystem, deepening application scenarios, and optimizing the innovation ecosystem. The objective of this research is to provide a referenceable development pathway for the artificial intelligence industry in cities throughout the Yangtze River Delta. Furthermore, it aims to facilitate a transition in the artificial intelligence sector from “single-point breakthroughs” to “system leadership,” thereby offering a practical regional model for China’s engagement in global competition within the field of artificial intelligence.
