- Abstract
In large cohort studies where measuring specific covariates is costly or complex, the case-cohort design is often used as a cost-effective sampling method. However, standard case-cohort analyses can be biased, mainly when covariate interference exists. To mitigate this bias, we propose an inverse probability weighted case-cohort sampling design. Building on this framework, we employ a binning method to account for covariate interference and implement a quadratic upper bound algorithm for parameter estimation. We evaluate the proposed approach using simulated data, comparing estimators of regression coefficients for covariates with and without interference, as well as those adjusted for interference under the Cox model. Finally, we apply the method to real data to demonstrate its practical usefulness and validate its performance.
