Abstract

Driven by policy guidance, technological progress and social demand, digital transformation is penetrating into all walks of life at an unprecedented speed and scale, becoming an important way for enterprises to transform and upgrade, improve efficiency, and innovate service models. This paper uses the multi-period difference and intermediary effect model, and takes the data of China’s listed companies from 2007 to 2022 as samples to deeply explore the mechanism of transportation infrastructure on the digital transformation of urban enterprises along the route. It is found that transportation infrastructure construction plays a favorable role in promoting digital transformation of urban enterprises along the route, and this role shows the characteristics of travel alienation between different regions and different industries. In addition, the construction of transportation infrastructure also promotes the upgrading of regional industrial structure by exerting the effect of talent allocation, and effectively promotes the process of digital transformation of local enterprises.
