Abstract

Under the background of the continuous in-depth development of the new social situation at present, the values of college students are gradually diversified, which brings certain challenges to the ideological and political education work of schools. Meanwhile, the traditional education system has also failed to fully meet the actual needs of students in the process of modernization. Therefore, in order to better guide and educate students’ values and ideological and political concepts, it is necessary to innovate and optimize the traditional educational model. The combination of ideological and political education and mental health education in colleges and universities can effectively deal with this problem and is also an inevitable measure to adapt to the current social development and changes.
