Abstract

Focuses on pathways for enhancing the digital literacy of higher education teachers within the artificial intelligence (AI) environment. The “Teacher Digital Literacy Education Industry Standards” issued by China’s Ministry of Education in 2022 provide clear guidance for developing digital literacy among university teachers. Currently, the deep integration of AI and education is accelerating the digital and intelligent transformation of university teaching, making the improvement of teachers’ digital literacy an urgent necessity. Enhancing teachers’ digital literacy is essential for adapting to educational reform and cultivating innovative talent. Its core components include digital awareness, information processing, intelligent innovation, and ethical application. AI technology offers multiple avenues to strengthen and deepen teachers’ digital literacy. This paper proposes a systematic pathway centered on “awareness awakening–capability enhancement–scenario innovation–ethical safeguarding–ecological support” to comprehensively upgrade teachers’ digital literacy and advance the digital transformation of higher education.
