- Abstract
Cloud computing has transformed the world of digital transformation, but with its accelerated pace, the model has exposed severe security concerns that include access violations, data theft, and insider threats. Traditional security models based on perimeters have proven inadequate in safeguarding cloud applications, necessitating a transition to the Zero Trust Model (ZTM). A very important paper covers the Zero Trust framework, including challenges for the implementation and further directions for security in the clouds. Key Findings: “Zero Trust further strengthens access controls significantly, thus reducing cyber attacks and adhering to industry standard compliance, with HIPAA as well as PCI DSS among others.” Nevertheless, they have certain problems—for instance, management of identities and interoperability with other solutions. If all these can be put in front of some of the real examples of use by AI, using authentication, micro-segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access, and more, all this may come together for safety in the cloud. Blockchain-based identity management and the adaptive AI security model represent the future advancement area. The authors have made this study worthwhile for organizations and policymakers, especially in finding a paradigm through which cloud security is improved significantly using the Zero Trust approach.
