Abstract

This study conducts a scientometric analysis of global research on Robotics and Automation for Sustainable Manufacturing covering the period 2000–2024. Data were extracted from the Scopus database and analyzed using RStudio with Biblioshiny and VOSviewer to identify publication trends, citation patterns, leading countries, productive institutions, influential sources, and key thematic areas. The dataset comprised 3,595 documents authored by 13,280 contributors, with no single-authored works, reflecting strong collaborative engagement and an international co-authorship rate of 14.77%. Keyword and co-occurrence analyses revealed dominant themes such as Robotics, Automation, Robots, and Artificial Intelligence, alongside emerging topics including Factory Automation, Computer Networks, and Machine Design. China and the United States were identified as leading contributors, with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Politechnika Warszawska among the most productive institutions. The findings highlight sustained growth in robotics and automation research, emphasizing its pivotal role in advancing sustainable manufacturing and indicating significant opportunities for interdisciplinary innovation.
