Abstract

The construction industry is transforming rapidly, driven by technological advancements, globalisation and evolving sustainability standards. These shifts necessitate rethinking construction education to equip future professionals for a dynamic and complex global environment. This study explores and evaluates innovative educational strategies, tools, and frameworks adopted worldwide to advance construction education. Through a literature review, this study examines the integration of cutting-edge technologies into pedagogical practices. This study also explores the shift towards competency-based learning, interdisciplinary curricula, and industry-academia collaborations that bridge the gap between theoretical instruction and practical application. Case studies from diverse regions illustrate how cultural, economic, and regulatory contexts influence the implementation of these innovations. This study proposes a conceptual framework based on three interrelated pillars: technological integration, pedagogical innovation, and industry-academia collaboration. This framework offers a structured approach to transforming construction education and contributes to the global discourse on cultivating a more adaptive, skilled, and globally aware workforce.
