The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED), proudly hosted The 6th Annual Conference of Engineering and Implementation on Vocational Education (ACEIVE 2024) on 24 October 2024. Held at the Digilib Building of UNIMED, this offline event brought together experts, researchers, and practitioners to engage in meaningful discussions on “The Role of Vocational Education, Technology, and Science for Worth Life in the Society 5.0 Era.” The conference served as a platform to explore innovative approaches to vocational education and engineering advancements, aligned with the global transition to Society 5.0.

The primary aim of ACEIVE 2024 was to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogues addressing the integration of technology, education, and science to promote a better quality of life. The conference’s scope spanned critical areas, including technology, science, and vocational education. These themes reflect the commitment of the conference to address contemporary challenges and foster sustainable development in technology, science, and vocational education.

ACEIVE 2024 featured distinguished speakers who shared their insights and research contributions. The keynote speakers included Prof. Dr. Syawal Gultom, M.Pd (Indonesia), Assoc. Prof. TS. Dr. Mohd Rodzi Ismail (Malaysia), Prof. Yung-Tsan Jou (Taiwan), and Prof. Dr. Antje Barabasch (Switzerland). Additionally, invited speakers such as Dr. Nurullizam Jamiat (Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Refdinal, M.T. (Indonesia), and Prof. Dr. Baharuddin, S.T., M.Pd., the Rector of UNIMED, contributed to enriching the conference proceedings.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, speakers, and contributors for their dedication to making this event a success. Special thanks go to Prof. Dr. Dina Ampera, M.Si, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UNIMED, for her unwavering support and visionary leadership.
