- Abstract
This study explores the value and application potential of regional culture in cultural and creative product design from the perspective of cultural identity, employing Bigan culture as a case study to analyze its innovative possibilities and provide new insights for the inheritance and innovation of regional culture. Through methods such as literature review and questionnaire surveys, the research systematically examines theories related to cultural identity and regional culture. It then investigates the pathways for integrating cultural identity into cultural and creative products from both content and form perspectives. A practical case study of Bigan culture-inspired creative designs is used to support the investigation. The findings reveal that the integration of cultural identity into cultural and creative products can be achieved through two pathways: content and form. Regional culture holds unique value in cultural and creative design, serving as a bridge between tradition and modernity, as well as between local and global contexts. The practice demonstrates that these pathways can enhance the cultural appeal and competitiveness of creative products, strengthening cultural identity internally and reshaping the image of national culture externally.
