Website: https://www.icaddt.net/ The 2026 5th International Conference on Art Design and Digital Technology (ADDT 2026) was successfully held in Chengdu, China, from June 5 to 7, 2026. The conference brought together researchers, educators, designers, engineers, and industry professionals from different countries and regions to exchange ideas and present recent advances in art design, digital technology, and their interdisciplinary applications. As digital transformation continues to reshape creative industries, the integration of artistic innovation and emerging technologies has become an important research focus. ADDT 2026 provided an international platform for discussing new theories, methodologies, and practical applications that bridge art, design, communication, and digital technologies. The conference featured a distinguished lineup of keynote and invited speakers. Prof. Zengjun Peng (St. Cloud State University, USA) explored narrative strategies in the age of intelligent media; Prof. Yun Xia (Rider University, USA) examined the cognitive foundations of prompt engineering in educational applications of generative AI; Prof. Yongjian Huai (Beijing Forestry University, China) presented research on AI-enabled digital museums for ancient trees; Prof. Lei Shi (Chengdu Sport University, China) discussed omnimedia coverage of the Chengdu Games; Postdoc Xiaoli Hu (Tsinghua University, China) introduced AIGC-driven literary creation platforms; and Prof. Rui Chen (Xihua University, China) shared insights into communication studies from the perspective of artificial intelligence. In addition to the invited presentations, thematic forums and oral sessions provided valuable opportunities for academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. The conference covered a wide range of topics, including contemporary art and design, cultural heritage and creative industries, visual communication, interaction design, digital media, computer-aided design, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, blockchain applications in art, big data analysis, multimedia production, digital fabrication, digital game design, computer graphics, technology-enhanced artistic creation, and the ethical and social implications of digital art and communication. These contributions reflected the growing convergence of creative practice and technological innovation in contemporary society. ADDT 2026 attracted more than 150 participants and received 193 paper submissions. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 86 papers were accepted for publication. The papers included in this volume represent recent research achievements and emerging developments in art design and digital technology. The organizing committee sincerely thanks all speakers, reviewers, authors, session chairs, and participants for their valuable contributions. It is hoped that this volume will promote further research, innovation, and international cooperation in the fields of art design and digital technology. ADDT 2026 Conference Committee
