- Abstract
Literature is a purely human phenomenon. It can be considered as the mother of all knowledge. It has the power to shape our perceptions, values and behaviour. It aims to entertain and educate the readers and the addition of digital lens enhances the environmental consciousness. Richard Powers The Overstory winner of the Pulitzer Prize in fiction is a sweeping, impassion work of activism and resistance. From the roots to the crown and back to the seeds, Richard Powers’ twelfth novel unfolds in concentric rings of interlocking fables of many characters. This paper explores themes of environmentalism, interconnectedness when combined with digital pedagogy and AI. Powers The Overstory weaves a digital Canopy bridging together the stories of humans and trees creating a thought-provoking attitude towards sustainability. Man is capable of bridging change but this noble cause requires time and digitalization. By employing AI based analysis and lens we can reach the conclusion that trees communicate, express, socialize, live and near humans.
