- Abstract
This study examines the selection of disaster evacuation sites in Meuraxa Subdistrict, Banda Aceh, as a critical aspect of disaster mitigation. A survey of 305 respondents was evaluated using two binary logit model approaches: manual calculation and SPSS-based analysis. The findings indicate that distance is the dominant factor influencing evacuation site choice; the greater the distance difference between the Temporary Evacuation Site (TES) and the Final Evacuation Site (TEA), the lower the likelihood of TES being selected. The SPSS analysis further identified disaster experience and mode of transportation as significant variables, yielding a TES selection probability of 20.98%. These results highlight the need to optimize TES locations, improve public awareness, and develop evacuation transportation systems to strengthen disaster preparedness.
