Abstract

Resource management in the education system is a crucial element for supporting learning success, particularly in rural elementary schools like SDN Desa Pendreh. This qualitative study aims to explore resource management practices, including human resources, facilities, and budget, as well as the challenges encountered in improving educational quality. A phenomenological approach was used to understand the experiences of the principal, teachers, and school committee in managing these resources. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, with School-Based Management and resource efficiency theories serving as the analytical framework. The findings indicate that SDN Desa Pendreh faces constraints such as a limited number of trained educators, inadequate infrastructure, and a restricted budget allocation. However, collaborative initiatives with the local community and the optimization of internal resources have enhanced learning effectiveness. This research recommends strengthening teacher training, enhancing partnerships with external parties like PT. Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral and PT. PAMA, and developing a transparent budget management system to support quality education at SDN Desa Pendreh.
