Welcome to the 2025 4th International Conference on Big Data Economy and Digital Management (BDEDM 2025) taking place in Tianjin, China, during January 3 to 5, 2025. We are honored to pen the preface of BDEDM 2025’s Proceedings and are very excited and enthusiastically committed to deliver a high-quality conference, coupled with many scientific activities, networking opportunities, and enjoyable social events.

In an era marked by rapid technological advancements, the intersection of big data and digital management has become a focal point for both academic and industry discussions. BDEDM 2025 provided a platform for researchers, industry leaders, and policy-makers to share cutting-edge research, discuss current trends, and explore collaborative opportunities. The conference addressed a wide range of topics, including economic statistics under big data, digital management, big data analytics, blockchain technology, intelligent systems, and the application of big data analytics in various sectors such as finance, health care, and smart cities.

The conference featured several keynote presentations delivered by:
Professor Faruk Balli from Massey University, New Zealand, an expert in international macroeconomics and international finance, presented on the impact of cross-listing on productivity in the energy sector.

Professor Evan Lau Poh Hock from University Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia, discussed the future of digital banking.

Associate Professor Thomas Andreas MAURER from the University of Hong Kong, China, a leading scholar in asset pricing, international finance and household finance, explored the implications of benchmarking and risk-taking in mutual funds.

These presentations not only highlighted the latest advancements in big data and digital management but also provided valuable insights into the practical applications and future directions of these fields.

In addition to the technical program, BDEDM 2025 also had social events as well as various networking opportunities to foster exchanges for the advancement of big data economy and digital management technology.

The proceedings of BDEDM 2025 represents a significant contribution to the aca-demic and industry discourse on big data and digital management. All submitted papers underwent a rigorous peer-review process by experts from the organizing committee.
