Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the implementation of artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence (AI)) in human resource management (Human Resource Management (HRM)) at PT Shampharindo Retroviral Indonesia. The background of this study shows the significant potential of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving Human Resource Management (HRM) efficiency and effectiveness. However, its implementation in the Indonesian pharmaceutical industry still needs to overcome several obstacles, such as organizational readiness, technology readiness, perceived benefits, competitive pressures, and organizational culture. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design to explain the interrelationships between variables that influence Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption and Human Resource Management (HRM) effectiveness. The study population involved PT Shampharindo Retroviral Indonesia employees, with a sample of 125 respondents selected through a purposive sampling method. The results indicated that organizational and technological readiness did not significantly influence Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption. In contrast, competitive pressure and organizational culture played important roles in encouraging the implementation of the technology. However, Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption has not been shown to directly improve Human Resource Management (HRM) effectiveness, suggesting a need for more optimized integration and a more comprehensive managerial strategy. This research provides important insights for companies planning to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Human Resource Management (HRM) and emphasizes the need to improve internal readiness and strengthen organizational culture to support the successful implementation of this technology.
