- Abstract
Food waste production in Indonesia continues to rise in tandem with population growth, changes in consumption patterns, and lifestyles, but food waste management has failed to keep pace. Malang City is one of Indonesia’s largest cities in terms of food waste. Malang City generates approximately 660 tons of food waste per day, with households accounting for roughly 69 percent and markets and industrial waste accounting for 31 percent. The purpose of this study is to (1) analyze the factors that influence household food waste behavior. The study was conducted in several housing estates in Lowokwaru District, Malang City, with a total of 94 participants. The data was gathered through interviews with questionnaires and analyzed using SEM-PLS and SmartPLS4.0 software. The study found that (1) Shopping routines, food raw material storage skills, and food waste management behavior control all have a positive impact on food waste behavior.
