Abstract

Startups are growing rapidly globally from year to year and contributing to the growth of the digital economy in various countries. An increasingly massive and extensive digital industrial ecosystem will create more synergies and a greater impact on the economy, society, employment, diversity, and sustainable development goals (SDG) targets. This research uses literature studies on several previous studies on startups in Indonesia and then creates a conceptual framework and research hypotheses. This conceptual research paper focuses on the factors of antecedent competitive advantage for startups in Indonesia. Several articles were evaluated for further research developments. The results of this study lead to patterns of Business resilience, organizational learning, digital marketing capabilities, and managerial capabilities, which are critical for organizations that wish to gain competitive advantage in a dynamic business environment. The research results are not just theoretical, but also practical, providing a roadmap for strategic decision-making in a competitive environment. This research can make a theoretical contribution related to the development of digital business startups; the research results can be used to consider strategic decision-making for the organization to survive in a competitive environment and achieve a competitive advantage.
