- Abstract
The focus of this study is structural design optimization of a stiffened composite cylindrical structure. Two different composite structures with T section and hat section stiffeners are used. The material used is carbon fiber reinforced epoxy. The deformation and stability capacity of composite stiffened structure under internal negative pressure are carried out by numerical simulation. According to the deformation patterns, the maximum displacements of two structures with T stiffeners and hat stiffeners meet structural stiffness requirement. While the buckling capability of hat stiffened structure is obvious superior to T stiffened structure.
