- Abstract
Industrial architectural heritage is an important carrier of the industrialisation process, and with the acceleration of urbanisation, the reuse of old industrial buildings has become increasingly prominent. This study focuses on the sustainable conservation and adaptive reuse of industrial architectural heritage, exploring how to promote the functional transformation of industrial heritage, urban renewal and regional economic development through green building technology and circular economy concepts while preserving historical and cultural values. The study adopts case studies and literature review to select typical cases at home and abroad, such as the renovation of Erlenmatt silo, the expansion of Bodegas Faustino and the renovation of Hefei Iron and Steel Factory No. 5, to summarise their practical experience and innovative paths of preservation and adaptive reuse. The study results can provide policy references for the government and related industries, and promote the institutionalisation and standardisation of industrial heritage protection, helping to regenerate and revitalise industrial heritage in modern society.
