- Abstract
Against the backdrop of global aging, the design of elderly care spaces has become a core issue closely related to social well-being. This article combines multidisciplinary theories such as color psychology, environmental behaviorology, and ergonomics, as well as diverse elderly care models including home-based, community-based, and institutional care. It explores the inherent logic and practical pathways of age-friendly design through in-depth case studies from five key dimensions, including scientific color matching, rational functional zoning, barrier-free facilities layout, intelligent technology integration, and humanistic care infiltration. It clearly demonstrates that scientific and targeted design strategies can significantly improve the living quality, safety, and sense of belonging of the elderly, and further provides valuable theoretical support and practical operation references for the comprehensive transformation and upgrading of elderly care spaces in different regions.
