Abstract

The “Belt and Road” Initiative (BRI) provides strategic opportunities for the internationalization of China’s outstanding traditional culture. As an “auditory living carrier” of the cultural heritage of the Maritime Silk Road, the cross-cultural communication of Celadon Ou Music has both historical logic and practical significance. By adopting the methods of literature research, case analysis and cross-cultural communication theory, this paper systematically sorts out the policy background and cultural value of Celadon Ou Music’s communication. It further focuses on four pivotal challenges in Celadon Ou Music’s cross-cultural communication: cognitive hurdles, aesthetic disparities, communication lags, and coordination deficits. Four corresponding strategies are proposed: content simplification, localization adaptation, digital innovation, and collaborative networking. This research provides a transferable model for intangible cultural heritage to advance human community building, demonstrating how ‘light cultural carriers’ can facilitate deep civilizational dialogue through small-scale cultural gestures with broad mutual understanding.”
