- Abstract
This study develops an integrated framework for digital collaborative design and intelligent construction in architectural decoration engineering, combining Building Information Modeling (BIM), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). A multi-layer coupling structure consisting of a Collaborative Design Layer, a Data Transmission Layer, and an Intelligent Construction Layer is proposed. Furthermore, a technical pathway integrating multi-disciplinary BIM collaboration, cloud-based data interaction, and AI-driven scheduling is established to achieve closed-loop control from design information generation to construction feedback. An empirical analysis of an urban renewal complex project demonstrates that the proposed system significantly improves coordination efficiency and construction accuracy: the design coordination period was reduced by approximately 61%, model conflicts decreased by 72%, the construction period shortened by 12%, and the cost deviation rate dropped by 57%. The results verify the effectiveness of digital collaboration and intelligent construction in enhancing information integration, construction intelligence, and cost control, providing a replicable technical pathway and application reference for the digital transformation of architectural decoration projects in urban renewal.
