- Abstract
As a representative writer of the Liberated Areas, Zhao Shuli consistently maintained the Rural social stance of “writing for farmers” throughout his creative career, successfully pioneering the Popular creative direction. The Artistic construction of Rural language constitutes a core element of Zhao Shuli’s artistic achievements. This paper takes Zhao Shuli’s representative work “The Marriage of Xiao Erhei” as a specific case study to analyze the Artistic construction in Zhao Shuli’s Rural novels. Studies have found that Zhao Shuli employed Regional expression methods and Personalized portrayal of character language as the Artistic expression form of his Rural language. Through the Construction strategy of transforming everyday language and adapting folk forms, he imbued it with rich Aesthetic value. By undertaking the Artistic construction of Rural language, Zhao Shuli achieved the integration of Literariness and Popularity, offering a valuable direction for Literary creation in the Liberated areas and even extending into the 1950s and 1960s.
