- Abstract
The development of emerging engineering disciplines and accrediting engineering programs have imposed higher requirements on students’ autonomous learning capacities and personalized development competencies. Currently, the practical teaching of the Mining Engineering major is confronted with prominent challenges, including significant individual differences among students, a uniform teaching model, and the inadequate guidance in autonomous learning. Taking practical teaching as a breakthrough point, this paper proposes a systematic teaching reform path for the Mining Engineering major based on individual characteristic-oriented autonomous learning. Firstly, it reconstructs the practical teaching objectives under the guidance of national strategies and industry demands, and establishes a “mining industry demand database”. Secondly, it constructs an integrated practical teaching content system featuring “holism + fragmentation”, and addresses differentiated learning needs through basic and advanced extended online micro-courses. Thirdly, it implements an all-student-inclusive practical teaching model of “open project system + double-tutor system” both inside and outside the classroom, enabling students to participate in the entire process based on the CDIO concept. Finally, it establishes a diversified satisfaction-oriented assessment mechanism and a student-centered continuous improvement system. This reform path aims to stimulate students’ intrinsic learning motivation, cultivate their abilities to solve complex engineering problems and develop lifelong learning habits, thereby providing theoretical and practical references for the cultivation of innovative talents in the Mining Engineering discipline.
