Abstract

This study employs bibliometrics and CiteSpace 6.4 R1 to conduct a visual analysis of 819 international space law articles indexed in the Web of Science database from 2017 to 2026. Keyword co-occurrence clustering yields 10 clusters, with three dominant hotspots: Outer Space Activities, Interrogating Dominance, and Proactive International Law. Temporal analysis reveals two phases: a convergence phase (2017–2020) focused on foundational treaty frameworks, and a diversification phase (2021–2026) marked by growing attention to AI governance, resource extraction, and proactive norm-building. Future research should pursue interdisciplinary integration across technological, legal, and policy dimensions to support a fair and sustainable outer space order.
