- Abstract
This study focuses on the cross-contextual communication evolution analysis of The Communist Manifesto. First, it elucidates the historical significance of The Communist Manifesto as a Marxist classic and its core ideological framework, while examining its impact on modern society. The research underscores the critical role of cross-contextual communication evolution studies in understanding ideological flows within the globalized context. Second, it introduces the fundamental principles of the BERTopic model and its advantages over traditional topic models, demonstrating how to extract key themes from The Communist Manifesto using this approach. Additionally, the study incorporates temporal LDA to illustrate its application in tracing the evolution of the manifesto’s core ideas. The study first outlines the selection criteria and data sources for multilingual versions of The Communist Manifesto, followed by a detailed description of the text preprocessing workflow. Subsequently, it elaborates on experimental environment configurations, parameter tuning strategies, and evaluation metrics, while demonstrating linguistic variations across language versions through case studies that reveal underlying cultural factors. The findings are systematically summarized, with implications for future research in related fields discussed. The study proposes potential directions for further exploration, particularly regarding the applicability of its methodology to the analysis of other significant historical documents.
