Abstract

Healthcare organisations charge hefty medical fees for the treatment provided to patients. These fees impact the economic behaviour of patients, as they incur additional expenses and take time to achieve economic stability. Meanwhile, Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) in the health sector minimise healthcare expenses and provide similar medical treatments. Choosing treatment at these NPOs allows patients to save the money they would otherwise spend on medical expenses. Patients can achieve financial stability and earn income from their jobs while in good health. Furthermore, a qualitative analysis will reveal that patients are generally more satisfied with the treatments received at NPOs. For this project, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences -SSSIHMS, a non-profit healthcare centre, is chosen as a case study.
