- Abstract
Promoting enterprise development with innovation is a positive response to the country’s high-quality development. The improvement of innovation performance cannot be separated from the supporting role of knowledge, but the impact of changes in the knowledge base on innovation performance is not clear enough. Based on the knowledge base view, this paper explores the impact mechanism of knowledge domain coupling on innovation performance by utilizing the panel data of 249 manufacturing companies listed in China’s A-share market from 2010 to 2022. The results show that existing knowledge domain coupling has a positive contribution to innovation performance, and there is an inverted “U-shaped” relationship between old and new knowledge domain coupling and innovation performance.
