With great excitement and gratitude, we are delighted to present to you the proceedings of the 2025 2nd International Conference on Educational Development and Social Sciences (EDSS 2025).

This conference served as a significant gathering of like-minded individuals from across the globe. We had over 150 amazing people joining us from more than 10 countries and regions, all coming together to share their passion for education and social science. It was truly a sight to behold!

From the very beginning, the vibrant atmosphere was evident. The opening session laid the groundwork for the extraordinary three days. We were privileged to have out-standing keynote speakers. Professor Rustam Shadiev, a highly esteemed figure in the field of automatic speech recognition and mobile-enabled language learning, delivered a presentation that captivated the audience. His talk on “Harnessing Emerging Technolo-gies to Foster Global Citizenship: Strategies for Deepening Intercultural Competence in Education” was not only highly informative but also deeply inspiring. Additionally, Professor Heng Luo, whose work in educational information technology is truly remarkable, presented a speech on “Promise and Reality: Using ICTs to Bridge China’s Rural–Urban Divide in Education” that introduced novel perspectives to all of us. Last but not the least, Professor Guiyun Guan, engaged in education and linguistics, shared her research “On Foreign Language Smart Education under the Situation of Educational Integration and Innovation”, triggering heated discussion.

Throughout the conference, we had so many interesting discussions in the parallel sessions. These sessions were a wellspring of ideas, with participants sharing their latest research, experiences, and engaging in friendly academic debates. The poster sessions also provided an opportunity for everyone to showcase their efforts and engage in one-on-one exchanges.

The present proceedings volume is a compilation of the valuable insights shared at the conference. We have meticulously selected and reviewed all the papers to offer you the very best. These papers are not merely academic works; they are replete with real-world applications, fresh viewpoints, and optimism for the future of education and social science.

In our world today, conferences like this and their proceedings are like beacons of light. They connect us, inspire us, and help us move forward in our research. They remind us that we’re all part of a big, global community working towards a better understanding of education and society.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who made this happen: the authors for sharing their work, the reviewers for upholding the quality of the papers, and the organizing committee for their tireless efforts in ensuring the conference’s success.
