Website: https://www.ic-emse.com The 2025 International Conference on Engineering Management and Safety Engineering (EMSE 2025) was successfully held in an online format on March 21, 2025, with Nanjing, China, as its host city. The conference provided an international platform for scholars, researchers, engineers, and industry practitioners to exchange the latest research findings, explore innovative practices, and foster academic collaboration in the fields of engineering management and safety engineering. EMSE 2025 attracted a total of 108 paper submissions from around the world. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 54 high-quality papers were accepted for inclusion in the final proceedings, resulting in an acceptance rate of approximately 50%. More than 100 participants attended the conference, reflecting strong interest in the intersection of engineering systems, safety strategies, and sustainable development. The conference encompassed a diverse set of research themes, bridging theoretical foundations and real-world applications. Topics included, but were not limited to, urban resource and environmental management, intelligent building and infrastructure systems, logistics and traffic control, public safety governance, sustainable development, and project risk assessment. In the domain of safety engineering, the conference featured discussions on the design and analysis of engineering structures, intelligent safety monitoring, safety standards and regulatory compliance, and the application of emerging technologies. These thematic areas underscored the interdisciplinary nature of the conference and its relevance to both academic research and industrial innovation. EMSE 2025 was honored to feature several distinguished keynote speakers, including Prof. Xin Ren, Head of the Department of Mechanics and Engineering Materials at Nanjing Tech University; Assoc. Prof. Bin Hu, Director of the Underground Space Planning and Design Research Institute at Beijing Institute of Technology; and Assoc. Prof. Ding Ding, Head of the Department of Architecture at Xihua University. Their insightful presentations offered deep academic perspectives on the evolving challenges and opportunities in engineering safety and management and further highlighted the value of cross-disciplinary collaboration in tackling complex societal issues. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all authors and presenters for their valuable contributions, to the reviewers for their professional and constructive feedback, and to all participants for their active engagement in the discussions. Special thanks goes to the organizing committee and partner institutions whose support and dedication were instrumental in the successful organization of EMSE 2025. We hope that the proceedings of EMSE 2025 will serve as a valuable reference for scholars and professionals in the fields of engineering management and safety engineering, and that the conference will continue to inspire academic excellence and innovation in years to come.
