- Abstract
With the advent of the digital age, the algorithm has penetrated into all aspects of social life, and become a new type of social power. However, the problem of algorithmic discrimination has become a new challenge for digital survival. As a technology, algorithms not only need to be examined from a technical perspective, but also need to be discussed in depth from the social level. From the perspective of social constructivism, this paper studies the logic of algorithm operation and deeply analyzes the causes of algorithm discrimination. The study found that algorithmic discrimination is mainly due to three reasons: the continuation of social discrimination; discrimination of algorithm designers; discrimination caused by cognitive chain rupture. Through a detailed analysis of these three types of discrimination, reveal its internal mechanism. In the digital age, we should pay attention to the social interaction mechanism behind the algorithm, construct the interaction mode and justice space between the algorithm and the society under the guidance of algorithm justice, and form a fair and just algorithm ecosystem.
