Abstract

This paper introduces the significance of integrating ideological and political education into the College Physics curriculum under the New Engineering framework. It analyzes existing challenges in curriculum-based ideological and political construction from perspectives such as teacher competence, teaching content, pedagogical methods, student engagement, educational resources, and evaluation mechanisms. To address these issues, this study proposes a collaborative education model based on three core principles: (1) parallel development of curriculum and ideological-political education for synergistic talent cultivation; (2) hybrid teaching modes for holistic education across all stages; and (3) integration of theory and practice for all-round education. By modularizing physics knowledge tailored to students’ majors and guided by ideological-political objectives, the teaching methods are optimized. The study explores transforming ideological-political cases into “media-mediated” formats and constructs an integrated online-offline-evaluation teaching system, aiming to advance physics curriculum development under limited class hours.
