Abstract

Culture is the starting point and ultimate destination for tourists, the source of tourist attractions, and the soul of the tourism industry. The “National Tour Guide Basic Knowledge” course, as a key subject in the National Tour Guide Qualification Examination, is essential for tourism professionals to enhance their cultural awareness, deepen their cultural foundation, and strengthen their cultural confidence. In the context of building a cultural power, this article focuses on exploring the integrated construction of the “National Tour Guide Basic Knowledge” course under the framework of “position-course-competition-certification”. It establishes the main thread of ideological and political education through teaching design centered on “tracing the historical roots of China and appreciating beautiful Chinese stories,” refines teaching objectives, reconstructs teaching content, organizes teaching implementation, and improves assessment and evaluation, which will achieve comprehensive ideological and cultural education outcomes.
