Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational game as a learning medium for temperature and heat material for Elementary School (SD) students based on Augmented Reality. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Eval- uation). In the analysis stage, observations and interviews were conducted with teachers at SD Negeri 06 Rantau Panjang to identify learning needs. This educa- tional game is designed to help students understand the concept of temperature and heat through direct interaction and more interesting learning experiences. The implementation results showed a significant increase in student understand- ing. The average pretest score of students was 60, while the average posttest score after using the educational game increased to 83.8. This increase was measured using N-Gain, which produced a score of 0.63, which is included in the moderate increase category. In addition, feedback from students and teachers showed that this educational game was effective in attracting students’ interest in learning and facilitating the learning process.
