Website: https://first.polsri.ac.id/2024/ Assalamu’alaikum wrwb, With great gratitude, we present the proceedings of the Forum in Research, Science, and Technology (FIRST-T3 2024), which was successfully held by Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya on October 21–22, 2024, at Wyndham Hotel, Palembang, Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Vocational Education’s Role in Advancing South Sumatra’s Key Sectors through Innovation and Technology,” this conference highlighted the crucial role of vocational education in driving the development of South Sumatra’s key industries. We were honored to have distinguished speakers who shared their expertise and insights, including:
1. Adi Nuryanto, S.T., M.T., Director of Partnerships and Alignment of DUDI at the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Indonesia.
2. Sumarjono Saragih, Chair of DPP APINDO.
3. Wahyu Caesarendra, Ph.D., from Opole University of Technology, Poland.
4. Li Dongheng, Ph.D., from Liuzhou Polytechnic University, China. The active participation of speakers and participants resulted in profound discussions and productive collaborations between the government, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders. We hope that this proceeding will serve as a valuable reference for advancing vocational education and technological innovation in the future.
