Website: https://icraft-conference.com/ The fact that people always have access to enough wholesome food that meets their nutritional needs and tastes to maintain a high quality of life is one of the most significant reasons why the agriculture sector is so vital. Meanwhile, the national economies are propelled by the food and agriculture sectors. In this environment, consumer-dominated nations that use import substitution face new obstacles even as civilizations with high agricultural production potential wait for strategic advantages soon. As everyone is aware, our nation has a very great potential for agriculture because of its geographic location and climatic features. Utilizing this potential in conjunction with the existing, practical, and efficient methods is essential. The sharp decline in the proportion of the population engaged in agricultural activities, which was 50% in the 1980s and is now only 20%, is only one aspect of our nation's agricultural revolution. Our manufacturers are focused on attaining high quality and high efficiency from the unit area and often invest in technology in accordance with their financial status and future possibilities. Right now, bringing all parties involved in agricultural production together behind a single strategic goal should be our top focus. The use of agricultural and food technologies in the axis of current developments is one of the main ways to increase productivity in the agricultural sector, which faces significant challenges due to high input costs, climate change, and the exodus of young people from agriculture in our nation and in the region where agriculture is heavily utilized. The point made on the application of technology in the agricultural industry showed us correct, even after the international congress that we organized 20 years ago with the idea of "from Plow to Satellite" and attempted to present a vision. Among the primary economic sectors, the agricultural and food industries adopt technical advancements the quickest. We note that the once labour-intensive but capital-intensive agricultural sector has transformed into an information-intensive one. In this regard, in addition to serving as our region's agricultural production base and supply center, it is crucial to actively contribute to the economic well-being of our nation by generating additional value through agricultural and food technology. According to current data, agriculture is a significant entrepreneurial sector that has evolved into an area that applies cutting-edge technology, allowing for the establishment of a vast value-added chain. From this vantage point, we find that combining national and worldwide knowledge in our circumstances with international congresses like this one held in our nation is beneficial. Through these groups, we have frequently seen beneficial collaborations that were either intended or unanticipated. Without a doubt, these partnerships will significantly advance our primary objective of economic development. Furthermore, we view our congress as a chance to showcase our exceptionally stunning nation and as a fantastic opportunity to share our cultural diversity with the world. We can safely say that the conference was a huge success! Many people have made numerous contributions to make this event go smoothly, with lots of fascinating presentations and posters, as well as a great environment for networking and conversation. The 5th International Conference on Research of Agricultural and Food Technology, I-CRAFT 2025, was held from October 20–23, 2025, at Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. The organizing committee would like to thank everyone who attended.
