Abstract

Stray animals face significant challenges, including abandonment, neglect, and limited access to care. Research reveals that traditional rescue methods are hindered by fragmented communication, inefficient reporting systems, and insufficient community involvement. This study analyses the current state of animal rescue systems, identifying key gaps that impede effective intervention. Through comprehensive research involving rescue organizations, volunteers, and community members, we identified the need for a centralized, user-friendly platform to improve coordination and resource management.

In response, a mobile application was designed, incorporating advanced technologies such as an AI-powered chatbot and an image recognition system to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline rescue operations. The chatbot provides instant assistance, addressing user inquiries and guiding them through rescue and adoption processes, while the image recognition system facilitates the identification of stray animals, accelerating response times. This research evaluates the application’s potential to bridge communication gaps between rescue organizations and the community, offering a more structured approach to animal welfare. By automating tasks and fostering greater public participation, the platform has the potential to revolutionize animal rescue operations. The study underscores the importance of technology-driven solutions in creating a more efficient and compassionate rescue ecosystem.
