Location: Shenyang, China (Hybrid)
Website: http://www.icache.net/ The 2024 10th International Conference on Architectural, Civil and Hydraulic Engineering (ICACHE 2024) was held from October 25–27, 2024, in the vibrant city of Qingdao, China. This conference brought together experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest advancements in architectural, civil, and hydraulic engineering, offering a platform for sharing research findings and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. As the field of architectural, civil, and hydraulic engineering continues to evolve, this conference focused on critical topics related to sustainable construction, innovative materials, earthquake engineering, hydraulic infrastructure, and urban development. The event provided an opportunity for professionals and academics to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore the future of engineering practices that will address the evolving needs of society and the environment. The conference was honored to host Reyes Garcia, Associate Professor in Structural Engineering at the University of Warwick (UK), as one of the distinguished keynote speakers. Dr. Garcia, who has over 20 years of research and consultancy experience, is a leading expert in structural and sustainable concretes, FRP composites for construction, and earthquake engineering. His work in designing and coordinating large-scale shake table tests in Europe, as well as his involvement in EU and Research Council-funded projects, has significantly advanced the understanding of structural resilience. Dr. Garcia’s presentation at ICACHE 2024 shed light on key innovations in earthquake engineering and sustainable construction practices, inspiring future research and applications in these areas. ICACHE 2024 also featured a rich program of presentations, discussions, and networking sessions. The contributions from all attendees—researchers, engineers, and students—were invaluable in driving forward the discussions on how to address current and future challenges in civil and hydraulic engineering. We are grateful for the insights shared, the collaborative spirit fostered, and the vibrant exchange of ideas that took place over the course of the conference. This conference proceedings is an excellent collection of the papers accepted and presented at the event. It covers many aspects of architectural, civil, and hydraulic engineering, including but not limited to engineering advanced technology, structural seismic design, testing and modification, security monitoring and burglar alarm system engineering, structural health monitoring, intelligent construction, etc. Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the participants, speakers, and contributors who made ICACHE 2024 a complete success. We look forward to the continued advancement of the field and the innovations that will emerge from the collaboration of the global engineering community. The Committee of ICACHE 2024
