Abstract

This research aims to substitute synthetic phosphate fertilizer with organic phosphate fertilizer used from worms (vermicompost) which does not reduce the growth and yield of mung beans. This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm in Jumantono, Karanganyar, from October 2023 to January 2024. The experiment used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) with fertilizer doses of P1: SP36 200kg P205/ha; P2: SP36 150kg P205/ha + Vermicompost 50kg P205/ha; P3: SP36 100kgP205/ha + Vermicompost 100kgP205/ha; P4: SP36 50kgP205/ha + Vermicompost 150kgP205/ha; P5: Vermicompost 200kg.P205/ha. The research was repeated 5 times. The data analyzed by Anova 5% and if there were significant differences, proceed with the 5% DMRT test. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, leaf area, root shoot ratio, fresh weight and dry weight of straw, number of pods per plant, fresh weight of pods, dry weight of pods, weight and number of seeds per plant, and the weight of 1000 seeds. The results of research on the substitution of SP36 fertilizer with vermicompost did not have a real effect on the growth and yield of mung beans. Giving SP36 100kgP205/ha and Vermicompost 100kgP205/ha tends to give better yield with 20.63 g/plant.
