- Abstract
Given the water Scarcity Challenges facing North Africa due to climate change and population growth, which necessitate sound governance to prevent the excessive depletion of potable water, artificial intelligence (AI) has recently emerged as a crucial tool for improving the efficiency of water resource management and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 6 on water. The rapid expansion of AI applications offers a means to address numerous emerging challenges through practical technologies in various fields, such as water treatment and water level and ratio forecasting. This reflects the positive role of AI in water management in North Africa and in achieving water security through sound governance that ensures sustainability and fosters economic development.
