Abstract

In order to evaluate the status and change tendency of soil nutrients during fallow period in Minqin Lvzhou Irrigation area, different treatment of field management measures and irrigation scheme were designed to determine the soil nutrient status and main component contents in the fallow period of wheat and corn from harvest to sowing in the next year, and analyze the dynamic change In Hongyashan irrigation area, Minqin County, Shiyang River basin. The results showed that soil organic matter, total nitrogen and available potassium increased before freezing, but decreased from the maximum after freezing and thawing. The alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen is always increasing before freezing to after freezing and thawing. Available phosphorus fluctuates greatly. Autumn tillage in wheat field affected the profile distribution of total nitrogen, alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen and available phosphorus, but the effects were basically eliminated before soil freezing. The contents of organic carbon, organic matter, total nitrogen and alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen in soil were significantly reduced by winter irrigation, while total phosphorus was increased significantly, and the other components was irregularly changed.
