Abstract

Green economic development planning is crucial in balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability. This study explores the implementation of green economic development strategies in Pinrang Regency as an effort to increase regional economic growth while minimizing environmental degradation. Using a quantitative descriptive research method, this study analyzes the driving and inhibiting factors of economic growth through secondary and primary data. Data analysis employs the interactive method by Miles and Huberman, complemented by Focus Group Discussions (FGD), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Sustainability Window Analysis (SuWi) to evaluate economic, social, and environmental dimensions simultaneously. The findings highlight that sustainable development must consider economic productivity, social equity, and environmental conservation. Green economy principles, such as low-carbon development, efficient resource utilization, and social inclusion, play a key role in ensuring long-term sustainability. The study identifies critical policy directions and strategic frameworks to enhance economic resilience in Pinrang Regency. By integrating green economic planning into development policies, regional governments can achieve sustainable growth without compromising future generations’ needs. This research serves as a reference for policymakers in formulating effective strategies for sustainable economic growth in Pinrang Regency and beyond.
