Abstract

Sangeh Village in Abiansemal Sub-district, Badung Regency, is a tourist destination that combines spiritual values, natural beauty, and facilities for the community. The village has natural attractions such as a nutmeg forest with a population of monkeys, Pucak Sari temple, and Taman Mumbul. An important part of Taman Mumbul is the Taman Pancaka Tirta Mumbul Temple, which plays a role in the spiritual, social and economic life of the local community. The temple is famous for its holy water source (klebutan) which is used for self-cleansing rituals and irrigation of rice fields. The development of spiritual tourism in Sangeh Village has improved the economy and community awareness in preserving cultural heritage. However, some areas of the temple such as the lake, pancoran, and Laba Pura area have not been well organized. The community and temple management plan to develop Laba temple as a tourist attraction, so a comprehensive arrangement is needed. Through the Community Service Program, the Department of Civil Engineering, Politeknik Negeri Bali, plays a role in preparing a masterplan for the arrangement of the temple area, fundraising, and building maintenance. The hope is that this masterplan can be a guideline in developing the Taman Pancaka Tirta Mumbul Temple in a sustainable manner, as well as applying science and technology for community-based solutions.
