- Abstract
Tuwed Village in Bali holds significant potential for conservation-based edu-tourism, particularly through its mangrove ecosystem and sea turtle habitats. This study adopts a qualitative-explorative approach to analyze the village's potential, identify challenges, and formulate community-based development strategies. Using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, data were gathered through deep interviews, observations, and questionnaires involving key stakeholders. The findings highlight strong ecological assets, moderate community awareness, and limited institutional governance as key factors affecting tourism development. A model integrating community participation, education, sustainable practices, and institutional support is proposed. This study contributes both theoretically and practically to the discourse on rural ecotourism development aligned with SDGs.
