Abstract

The era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 requires a transformative approach to curriculum development in integrating adaptive coding education and artificial intelligence (CEAI) to enhance digital literacy and global competitiveness. This study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) analyzing the implementation and impact of adaptive coding curriculum and AI applications within Indonesian education. Employing the PRISMA framework and the PICOC (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Context) technique, the review focuses on students and educators across primary to vocational education levels. A comprehensive search of relevant publications from 2020 to mid-2025 yielded 97 studies from an initial 6002 records. The narrative synthesis identifies key thematic clusters, including pedagogical strategies, skill development, technological challenges, and evaluation methodologies. Quantitative research predominates, with emphasis on learning processes and student outcomes, while AI integration and curriculum adaptation emerge as critical research gaps. Findings indicate that adaptive coding curricula significantly improve learning outcomes; however, infrastructural limitations and uneven teacher competency remain major barriers. This study underscores the urgent need for collaborative efforts and targeted professional development to ensure equitable and effective implementation of adaptive coding and AI-driven curriculum across Indonesia.
